Mexico?... the US?

I recently purchased a product where the label read:
"Made in Mexico from US components."

I find this very interesting, are we not trying to prevent illegal aliens from entering the United States? If we are shipping materials to Mexico so it can be made there why don't we just keep the illegals here and let them make the products in the US. That way our labels can read:
"Made in the US by a Mexican."

Those poor Mexicans, they just want to make a buck. Lets give them the job of driving the trucks with the US components back across the border. We kill two birds with one stone... we cut down on shipping costs and help those that came to the US looking for a job.
